Much gratitude to Techgoondu's Grace Chng for featuring Zeemart with the headline “Zeemart Zoom promises to let F&B industry procure food items easily”.

The new e-commerce service, Zeemart Zoom allows food suppliers, restaurants and catering services in Singapore to source for, order, and pay for fresh foods, drinks, and other food items.

The unique selling point of this first-of-its-kind B2B e-commerce platform for Singapore is its lower price, as Zeemart aggregates the demand and buys the F&B ingredients in bulk.

Out of the 1,000 outlets who have signed on to the Zeemart's procurement platform, - also a first for the industry - about 300 of them, including Potato Head, Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice, and Jones the Grocer, have been integrated onto and actively using the platform. On the suppliers side, Zeemart is currenly working with about 100 of them.

Zeemart’s procurement platform allows chefs and F&B business owners to track their procurement and their upcoming supply deliveries. This has further enabled them to be always aware of their operational costs.

Just last month, Zeemart has raised S$7 million for product development and market expansion. The fundraising was led by Kresna Graha Investama, an Indonesian investment firm. As the Southeast Asian food sector is currently worth US$400 billion, opportunities are good.
